Cambodia

Let’s explore Cambodia with CIT, The Kingdom of Cambodia lays in between Thailand and Vietnam and bordered by Laos on the north. Cambodia is perhaps the most neglected attraction compared with these two countries. Cambodia’s landscape spans low-lying plains, the Mekong Delta, mountains and Gulf of Thailand coastline. The Capital City, Phnom Penh, is home to the art deco Central Market, glittering Royal Palace and the National Museum’s historical and archaeological exhibits. In the Northwest are the ruins of Angkor Wat, a massive stone temple complex built during the Khmer Empire.

Cambodia offers a great package for low budget, welcoming locals and wonderful sights it can be the best option for someone who would like to spend some weeks on a relatively low budget but many people include the country into their itinerary as part of a longer Southeast Asian trip. Get off from the beaten track and discover the rural countryside with rickety wooden houses and rice paddies, kids waving at you and smiling locals everywhere.

While the masses flock to neighbouring Thailand’s islands, Cambodia’s alternatives are often wrongly forgotten. That makes them unspoilt options, with the majority maintaining their authenticity and remaining off the mass tourism map. Koh Rong holds the crown as the party island, with nearby Koh Rong Samloem boasting pristine powder sands flanked by tropical flora. Other remote jewels include Koh Thmei, Koh Ta Kiev and Koh Totang.
