Day 01 - Adelaide to Barossa (60 km)

Travel to Barossa, one of Australia’s most significant wine regions. The Barossa is famous for its Shiraz, Eden Valley Riesling and other premium wines, regional produce and acclaimed restaurants. Visit well known wine producers such as Penfolds Barossa, Saltram Wine Estate, Wolf Blass and Jacob’s Creek.

Day 02 - Barossa

Today is at leisure to further explore this famous wine region. Follow one of the many food and wine trails, visit the local farmer’s markets or stop in to taste gourmet local produce at Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop.

Day 03 - Barossa to McLaren Vale (105 km)

Travel through the Adelaide Hills to explore some of the 33 cellar doors, vineyards and orchards. Stop at Hahndorf, the oldest surviving German settlement in Australia. Continue onto Strathalbyn, before arriving at McLaren Vale.

Day 04 - McLaren Vale

A full day to explore the famous wine region of McLaren Vale, known for its Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Merlot and Chardonnay.

Day 05 - McLaren Vale to Kangaroo Island (74 km) Penneshaw (at Ferry terminal) to American River 40km; Flinders Chase 150km

Make your way to Cape Jervis for a 45 minute ferry to Kangaroo Island. The island is Australia’s third largest, boasting spectacular coastal scenery and landscapes, national parks, and wildlife experiences. Visit Seal Bay Conservation Park for a chance to walk amongst Sea Lions, see the dramatic formations of Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch in Flinders National Park.

Day 06 - Kangaroo Island

Continue exploring the island at leisure. Visit the beautiful secluded beaches of the north coast or enjoy the island’s locally produced sheep cheeses and yoghurt, wine, eucalyptus oil, honey and delicious seafood. For a hit of adventure, visit Little Sahara and surf down huge sand dunes.

Day 07 - Kangaroo Island to Adelaide (107 km) Penneshaw (at Ferry terminal) from American River 40km; Flinders Chase 150km

Depart Kangaroo Island, taking the ferry from Penneshaw to Cape Jervis. Return to Adelaide at leisure.
Your vehicle will need to be return tomorrow by the same time it wascollected on Day 1, to avoid additional charges.
