
A: Yes. Participants are allowed to bring dependents as follows:
- Spouse
- Biological children/stepchildren/adopted children below the ages of 21. Those between the age of 21 to 34 years old must be unemployed and single while in Malaysia.
- Disabled children (medically certified) with no age limit.
- Parents and/or parents-in-law.
A: Yes, only if you apply under the Platinum category.
Applicants in all other categories are not permitted to work or engage in business.
A: Yes, only purchasing and owning a residential property is a compulsory requirement under the MM2H program. The property cannot be sold within the first 10 years, except when upgrading to a property of higher value.
A: You will have to pay 20% of the approved agent fee upon submission. The balance 80% of agent fee, the government fees and a personal bond fee will be made upon issuance of Conditional Approval Letter.
A: No. MM2H is a long-term Social Visit Pass, not a form of permanent residency. It does not grant PR status or citizenship in Malaysia. However, the pass is renewable, allowing participants to reside in Malaysia for the long term as long as they continue to meet the program requirements.
A: Applications must be submitted through an officially licensed MM2H agent, authorized by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture (MOTAC) under the Tourism Industry Act 1992 [Act 482].
