Day 02 - Road to Hua Hin

Hua Hin

After breakfast, visit Hua Hin Railway Station and Monsoon Valley Vineyard. Then, visit Mongkol Temple and Khao Takiab OR Wat Tham Khao Tao. In the evening, visit Hua Hin Night Market and transfer back to hotel.

Built in the reign of King Rama VI, Hua Hin Railway Station is one of Thailand’s oldest railway stations.

A vineyard in Thailand? Really? Whilst the tropical climate of Thailand might not appear to be conducive to wine-making, there are a few locations in the country which are able to use their unique surroundings to produce quality grapes. One such location is *Hua Hin Hills Vineyard.

Huay Mongkol Temple enshrined the largest statue of Luang Pho Thuat in the world.

Khao Takiab Beach is located approximately 7kms south of central Hua Hin. The distinguishing feature of this particular beach is the hill which gives the area its name. ‘Khao Takiab’ translates to ‘Chopstick Hill’ and visitors here can enjoy scenic views looking out over Hua Hin and the Gulf of Thailand. The hill, which is over 100 metres high, divides Khao Takiab Beach into two distinct areas.

After breakfast, move to Bangkok. Visit Damnoen Saduak Floating Market (Incl. boat ride) and Maeklong Railway Market OR Wat Bang Kung. Then, drop by Icon Siam for shopping. In the evening, visit Asiatique The Riverfront. Then, transfer back to hotel.

Damnoen Saduak is the most popular floating market in Thailand, great for photo opportunities, food, and for giving you an insight into a bygone way of life.

Mae Klong Railway Market (Hoop Rom Market) is a local market in Samut Songkhram Province, commonly called Siang Tai (life-risking) Market. The market is located by the railway near Mae Klong Railway Station, spreading over 100-metre length. It is a common fresh market selling seafood, vegetable, fruits, fresh and dried food, meats and other miscellaneous goods.

Wat Bang Kung temple is probably the most iconic in Amphawa District, known for its roots and branches of banyan tree which over the centuries have surrounded and locked the building, it houses a golden Buddha.

Asiatique The Riverfront is the largest shopping center on the Chao Phraya River, combines 2 of the most popular shopping experiences in the city: a night bazaar and a mall.
