Day 01 - Arrival Cairo (No Meals)

Upon arrival in Cairo, transfer to your hotel for check in. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 02 - Great Pyramids – Khan El Khalili Bazaar (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken to visit the Great Pyramids of Giza. It is the oldest of the “Seven Wonders of the Ancient World”, and the only one to remain largely intact. Next, visit the Sphinx, a limestone statue of a reclining mythical creature with a lion’s body and a human head. Proceed to the Egyptian Museum that contains the world’s most extensive collection of pharaonic antiquities. After lunch at a local restaurant, you have free time to explore Khan El Khalili Bazaar, a major souk in Cairo. The bazaar was built on the site of the mausoleums of the Fatimid caliphs. After dinner at a local restaurant, transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 03 - Cairo - Alexandria (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and transfer to Alexandria by a private coach (2 hours 20 minutes’ journey). Upon arrival at the second largest city in Egypt, you will be taken to visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. The catacomb is a historical archaeological site, and is considered one of the “Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages”. The catacomb consists of three levels cut through solid rock, the third level being now completely underwater. Next, visit Pompey’s Pillar, a Roman triumphal pillar that is the largest of its type constructed outside the imperial capitals of Rome and Constantinople. It was built to commemorate the victory of the Roman emperor Diocletian over the Alexandrian revolt in 297 AD. Overnight in Alexandria.

Day 04 - Alexandria - Cairo (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for the Alexandria National Museum. The museum houses artifacts from the Ancient Egyptian, Coptic, Hellenistic and the Muslim world. Then, proceed to Montazah Palace, where you can enjoy the Al-Montaza Park, the expansive royal gardens of 150 acres. Stop by the Alexandria Library and the Qaitbay Citadel for photos. Then, transfer back to Cairo. Check in at the hotel and overnight in Cairo.

Day 05 - Cairo Departure (B)

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. You are free to do some shopping and exploring until the transfer to the airport for your departure flight back to Kuala Lumpur. Thank you and don’t forget to book your next travel arrangement with CIT!
