Day 05 - Nagarkot – Kathmandu (B, L, D)
In the morning, enjoy a magnificent view of the sunrise that illuminates the numerous mountain ranges that can be seen from Nagarkot. After breakfast and check out from the hotel, transfer to Kathmandu (1 hour 30 minutes). On the way, visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a royal palace of the old Bhaktapur Kingdom. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, visit Bouddhanath, the ancient colossal stupa is one of the biggest in the world, and the center of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. Continue to visit Swayambhunath Stupa. Also known as The Monkey Temple, it is home to over a hundred resident monkeys which roam the area. Situated on a hillock of the Kathmandu valley, you can enjoy an excellent view of the valley. It was also listed in the UNESCO World Heritage monument list in 1979. After lunch, visit Patan Durbar Square. Another UNESCO World Heritage, this square was the former Royal Palace Complex which was the center of Patan. Next, Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Kathmandu Durbar Square is a royal region of the ancient Kathmandu kingdom which now located in Basantpur area of Kathmandu. It is enlisted in UNESCO world heritage site. This place inherits the Newari culture and ancient architecture since centuries. Continue to visit, Thamel Market and enjoy free shopping at the Bazaar. In the evening, enjoy a cultural show with a Nepalese dinner. Transfer to the hotel for check in and overnight in Nagarkot.
